About Me

I am a professional writer specializing in institutional fundraising, particularly foundation and corporate relations. For nearly a decade, I have worked with a range of nonprofit organizations, both as in-house development staff and as a consultant. I have a proven track record for securing five- and six-figure gifts from both regional and national foundations and corporations.

My fundraising experience includes work in conservation, international development, youth leadership, theatre arts and education, women's issues, and homelessness. I am also experienced in program development and management, volunteer coordination, and data management.

I believe that fundraising of any kind is about forming genuine relationships. Fundraising is an opportunity for organizations and people to connect, to understand each other, and to work together. I love the challenge of taking a bright idea and turning it into a successful grant proposal. My goal is to give nonprofit organizations the fundraising support they need so that they can focus on doing their work.

In 2014, I was named a Rising Star by NonProfit Pro Magazine for my work as a grant writer and institutional fundraiser. I am currently pursuing a professional graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management through the Harvard Extension School.

I am based in Chicago, but work with organizations across the country.
